I am only starting to learn about bullying. My almost 7yo son was bullied at a playground by a member of our homeschool group. I was sitting just on the edge of the playground and an older boy was threatening, pushing and yelling at my son.
At the time, my son told me this kid ‘wasn’t playing nice’. I walked with him, talked with the older boy and calmed things down. When we got home, my son explained the extent of the harassment in more detail. I was shocked. I had no idea a bully would be bold enough to act up with parents all around.. his parents and the victims.
I am much more aware of where and with whom my children are playing … at all times. I was always more suspicious/concerned with the afterschool crowd. Now i understand that bullying is not only for schooled children. Homeschoolers are not immune.

Keeping organized is a must for sure. It’s also easy to get side-tracked if you don’t have a goal to focus on and accomplish. I seem to wander off visiting site after site if I don’t have set goals of what I need to accomplish online.

As a father, I have to pay child support myself. When I left my current job due to issues with management I still continued to pay my current ordered amount until I could get a new job and see where my outcome would stand. Most people in my situation need to realize you really should save money on the side, you never know what might happen. I enjoy my relationship with my daugther and refuse to let “money” become an issue between her mother and I to prevent me from being in her life.
