If you are a mommy and have a blog, I would like to invite you to submit your site, get one of our links to put on your site and help us grow the site to make it the biggest Mommy Bloggers Directory on the internet.
If you would like to know when the site has been relaunched and is ready for sumissions… please EMAIL ME HERE and I will email you to let you know when the site is up and running. If you would like, you can sign up for the email News and Updates and you will get all the posts that we write sent to your email address as I will be posting here again when the site is ready.
Here is a sample of one of the links that we are going to be offering to put on your site.
This link isn’t actually working yet, but it will be when the site is re-launched.

Being a single WAHM and my struggles
“OK, I just read a post on Sparkplugging.com by Kelly McCausey and Angela WIlls called “13 Ways We Had to Change Our Mindset to Succeed as Single WAHMs“. Anyone that has read my blog knows that I, too, am a single mom. I have two boys and I have been financially struggling for the last 12 years.
I can see some of the things in this blog post that I do also. I have been afraid to set a value to my skills and expertise. I have found my passion, actually, I guess you could say that it (or he) found me. The day that I had my sons. I am very passionate about children with special needs.
I know that I have an expertise that is needed and that there aren’t that many people out there with the same expertise or experiences. And those that have similar experiences are “kept in the dark” and are sometimes astranged from their friends and families.
One of my problems is how to know what is and what isn’t something that I should let go of. I know that if it doesn’t make money and takes a lot of time then I should let it go. My only thought on that with this “niche” is that I have to keep searching for a way to make a living either with this or another way that I can still do this.
I originally started this blog to just have a place to write things down that I was going thru and get them off my chest. Somewhere in this process I joined Mom Masterminds and have been inspired to make more of a life of my own.
I have had to learn to say “no”. There are just times that I have to put me or my family first and just can’t do something for someone else. I have also had to learn to stand up for myself and my children. For me that has been hard to learn and I sometimes still struggle. I don’t like to disappoint people and that makes it hard to not say yes. But, I have found another way to look at it, by using my known inability to say no. By saying yes to do something for someone else that I just don’t have the time to do or the energy or even just the desire, I AM saying no to my kids. I am saying no to having the energy to do something for my kids because I used it to do something for someone else. I am not saying that I don’t want to do things for others and that I won’t do it, but with the lack of sleep that I get most of the time, I just don’t have enough energy to spread around all of the time. By saying no to someone else, I can say yes to my kids, my family or even myself. This is what helps me to say “no”.
I have to admit that I learned the hard way from the “get rich quick” schemes. I know how to spot them better now. If ANYTHING promises you a lot of money quickly or a lot of money in return for spending a lot of money, then I would not spend my money or waste my time.
I have learned a lot in the last few months and I have a lot more to learn. Take a few minutes and check out the post by Kelly and Angela and see how many of the 13 you have experienced or are experiencing now.

What is my business up to?
September 21, 2008 by Admin · Leave a Comment
Well, I have to say that I am having so many ideas flowing from me that I just have to start writing them down. One of the newest things that has caught my attention is Santa letters from Sending Something Special. Not only are the letters to Santa available but there are special letters that you can send to a soldier over seas, send a special, “I LOVE YOU” to that someone special on Valentine’s Day or you can send a letter to any or all the children at your local hospital. Each letter is written with your Someone Special in mind. You will be asked to fill out a questionaire to gather some information that can or will be included into the letter. Please take a few minutes to check out Sending Something Special and take a few minutes to send something special.

My New Business

I have really been struggling with the whole income thing. I have been trying so many different things, none of which have really worked out for me, at least not the way I wanted them to. I have, in my joining the Mom Mastermind’s site, found something that I am VERY excited about! I finally feel like I can have a real job, provide a service that is in need and make a life for myself and my kids.
I am building Blogs for Businesses. Specializing in the smaller Hometown businesses that can’t really afford a web designer to build their site, but paying to keep up their site and add content. I can teach you how to update your own site just as easily as signing in and sending emails.
Come and check out my business blog and see what we have to offer.

Working from home???
August 11, 2008 by Admin · Leave a Comment
I have been a “stay at home” mom for the last almost 12 years. I was a 911 dispatcher when my oldest son was born and he was just 3 months old when he was admited to the hospital the first time for 6 weeks. If you want, you can find a lot more information about him and the struggles we have been through on this blog, so I won’t go any further about that in here.
I have been finding it harder and harder to make ends meet with the very limited income that I have coming in. I have had a few “dead end” jobs over the last 12 years but I have had a hard time keeping all of them. As soon as a nurse calls in, I have to call off and they haven’t been very dependable over the years, but yet again, that is covered in a different part of this blog. I have been searching and searching for something to do from home that I could make a living. I am not wanting to get RICH, I just really want to make a living.
One day in my searching online for “Work At Home Mom” sites, I stumbled upon Mom Mastermind’s. Mom Mastermind’s is a membership only site that it full of valuable information that not everyone knows about working at home, internet traffic and blogging for profit or personal use. Mom Mastermind’s offers a free one week trial to see if it is really for you and access to certain parts of the site during that free trial. I did the free trial but couldn’t figure out a place in my budget for the monthly charge. I went back to the site just recently and looked over it again. There was so much information located in this site that I couldn’t begin to see and learn everything, not even just the portions that are available in the free trial. I made the decision to join and I have learned so much in the last month. I have visited the site just about every day and have read, reread and even posted a few times on the Member Forum.
Come and check out Mom Mastermind’s and see if you too find the fit that you are looking for. Hope to see you there!

My new business

I have been struggling to find a “career” that I can work and make an income that will help us during the times that are tight. I have tried numerous different home businesses and none of them have really been the right fit for me. I have signed up with Stanley Home Products. If you have ever heard of them or have ever known anyone that has used them you can ask about their quality. My mom used them a long time ago and I remember having them around.
I just washed a pair of white flannel sheets that were looking pretty dingy with my usual detergent and I added some of the concentrated Degreaser to my load and they came out so pretty and white again. My oldest son has MRSA and I have discovered a collection of products that kills MRSA. I am very excited to receive this collection. I am also including the ad for them. If anyone is interested in these wonderful products, please email me at AmysSHP@aol.com I am working on getting a personal website with SHP that orders can be placed through my site and as soon as that is done, I will put a link up on my blog.

My new idea!
January 28, 2008 by Admin · Leave a Comment
As anyone who has read my blog knows, my oldest son has a trach that he has had since he was 3 months old. When you have a trach and you breathe in air, especially cold air, that air goes right to your lungs. People without trachs don’t have that problem as often because you have your nose, mouth and throat to warm the air you are breathing in before it reaches your lungs. I have come up with something that as of yet has not been named, so until it is officially named, will be called “Trach Warmer”. I am making them in many different designs. I am making a red one with hearts currenlty for Valentine’s Day and soon will be making one with Green Hats for St. Patrick’s Day. I just finished my very first one today and Jamie wore it tonight when we went out to get his medicine. He really liked it. Normally when he would go outside he would be wanting to take off his blanket that we had on him as soon as he got in the car. Tonight he not only wore it in the car the whole time but he also wore it in the store and didn’t take it off until we got home. I think I may just be on to something. I am filing the paperwork to get my patent and as soon as that is done and they are protected, I will be offering them on my site for sale. If ANYONE knows of a manufacturer that would be interested in picking these up, I would love to know. I am going to pitch them for distribution so that all kids and adults can get them. Keep your fingers crossed. I will be donating the second one made to Dr. Rodgers in Charlottesville to give to a child that he thinks will get good use of it. It will be the heart one like I made for Jamie since we go on Feb 7th.
I have not included them on my website yet but when I do, one place you will be able to find them and other home made items I make for sale @ Country Cottage Shop Come see us soon
